Eyebrows threaded at home, twelve minutes, shaped to the brow you have rather than to whatever shape is current. Two small cheats live in a Rs 199 threading. The first is the thread. A reel is cheap and the length used on one person costs a fraction of a rupee, and it is still reused across customers in plenty of places, because nobody watches. Here the reel is opened in front of you at the start, the working length is cut off it, and that length is cut away and binned at the end where you can see it. The reel itself belongs to that visit. The second is the shape. A brow is threaded thin because thin is faster and because a thin brow needs threading again in ten days instead of three weeks. So the shape is agreed first, drawn on with a brow pencil, and looked at by you in your own mirror in your own light before a single hair is pulled. What is drawn is what is removed, and nothing above the brow line is taken unless you ask, because hair above the brow is what gives it its thickness. There is no minimum bill. Upper lip, chin or forehead in the same visit is three minutes each and is not charged, because inventing an invoice for three minutes of work is exactly the door-charge habit this catalogue exists to refuse. - Honest trade-off: threading stings more than waxing does, in short bursts, and it is over faster. It also takes hair from the follicle without pulling a layer of skin with it, which is the whole reason we use it near an eye

What is included, and what is actually done
- Total
- 12 minutes. Four to agree the shape, six threading, two on aftercare. A first visit runs to 18 because the shape conversation is longer and the extra is not charged.
- The shape
- Drawn on with a brow pencil, both brows, and handed to you with a mirror in daylight or under your own lamp. Nothing is removed until you say yes. If you want it changed, it is rubbed off and redrawn, and that is still inside the twelve minutes.
- What is removed
- Below the brow line and between the brows, always. Above the brow line only if you ask, and the therapist will say when she thinks you should not, because the hair above the line is the thickness of the brow.
- The thread
- A fresh cotton reel opened in front of you. The working length is cut from it, doubled and twisted, used, then cut off and binned in front of you. No reel travels between houses.
- Aftercare
- Cool damp cotton held on for two minutes to settle the redness. Nothing else. No lotion for four hours, no makeup on the brow area for four hours, no swimming pool that day, and keep your fingers off it, because a freshly emptied follicle is an open follicle.
- Free in the same visit
- Upper lip, chin, forehead. Three minutes each, no charge, no minimum bill. There is nothing to say yes to at the door and nothing extra to pay.
- What the struck price is
- Rs 239 is the standing rate for this work. Rs 199 is the opening rate while Poise At Home is being stood up in Gaya. A crew with no track record in this district should not charge what a proven one does, and that is the whole of the difference. It is not a countdown and there is no deadline on it.
What is not included, and when we say no
- No brow tint, no henna, no lamination
- Brow tint is a dye on skin next to an eye and it wants the same patch test discipline as head colour. We do not offer it yet rather than offer it casually.
- No wax anywhere on the face
- Not on brows, not on the upper lip. Facial skin lifts, and around the eye it lifts easily. Threading is slower and it takes hair rather than skin.
- If you use a retinoid or an acid
- Tell us. Tretinoin, adapalene, or a glycolic or salicylic product used in the last five days thins the top layer, and threading over it lifts skin. We will reschedule rather than risk it, and there is no cancellation charge for that.
- If you have taken isotretinoin
- We do not thread for six months after the last dose. Skin on isotretinoin tears, and this is a settled precaution, not our opinion.
- Active acne, cold sore, eye infection, sunburn
- On the area being threaded, we stop and reschedule at no charge. Threading through an active lesion spreads it along the row.
- On its own it is a small booking
- Rs 199 for twelve minutes is a real journey for us, and we are not pretending otherwise. It is often better booked with something else: Salon at Home, Essentials at Rs 899 has it built in.
Who comes, hygiene, and if something goes wrong
- Who is coming, and when you find out
- You get the name of the person and their photograph on the booking confirmation, before they set off. If a different person has to come, you are told before they leave and you can decline without any charge. Nothing is subcontracted: the person at your door is engaged by Poise At Home, not a partner agency and not whoever was free.
- Where we come
- Gaya town: A.P. Colony, Rampur, Delha, Chandauti, Magadh Colony, Kendui, Bodhgaya road up to the bypass. Outside that ring we say no rather than take the booking and be late. No arrival-time promise: you get a two-hour window and a call when the person leaves for you.
- Hands and cotton
- Hands washed at your basin in front of you, then sanitised. Cotton and the reel out of sealed packs. Nothing metal touches your face in this service, so there is nothing to sterilise and nothing to take on trust.
- The rework window
- Seven days on the shape. If the two brows are uneven, or more came off than you agreed, the same person comes back and evens what can be evened, free, with no second visit fee. Hair that has been removed cannot be put back, and where that is the honest answer we say it and refund the visit instead.
- If skin lifts or you react
- Cool cotton, we stop, no charge, and we pay for a doctor visit if it needs one. A small lift is uncommon and it does happen, most often on skin that has had an acid or a retinoid on it recently, which is why we ask.
- If something is damaged or you react
- A towel goes under everything and the floor is swept and the sink rinsed before we leave. If we stain a surface, mark a floor or break something, we pay to put it right, and you do not have to argue about it. If your skin reacts to something we applied, stop the session, we stop charging from that point, and we pay for a doctor visit. This is why the patch test on colour is a requirement and not a suggestion.
