Sixty minutes for skin that stings on most things: rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, skin off a peel or a procedure, or skin that has simply been over-treated until it reacts to everything. Read the price against the brightening facial for a second, because it looks wrong. That one is Rs 1,299 with acid, steam, extraction and a massage. This one is Rs 1,399 with none of them. It costs a hundred rupees more to do less, and the reason is real: the barrier products it uses cost more per gram than anything else in the bag, the whole thing is done at half speed, and it needs a therapist who will refuse steps you may ask for. Refusing is the skill being paid for here. Nothing that goes on your face has a fragrance in it. No parfum, no essential oil, none of the twenty-six declarable components. That is not a preference, it is that fragrance is the commonest cause of cosmetic contact dermatitis, and on this skin it is the likeliest single thing to set off a reaction. The products, all with their numbers already published: Shuunnya Care Cream Face Wash for Dry and Sensitive Skin, twelve ingredients at pH 5.5 and about 2 percent active surfactant, with refined sunflower oil chosen deliberately over the unrefined grade because the unrefined one carries more plant protein and free fatty acid and that is a risk on reactive skin, not a benefit. What is included, minute by minute, with the products named

Total: 60 minutes, deliberately slow. Twenty of them are massage at almost no pressure, which on this skin is the treatment rather than a nice extra.
0 to 8 min: Skin read, and a conversation about what has set it off before. Then the patch test: a little of each product going on your face today, behind the ear, left ten minutes and looked at. If anything reddens, that product does not get used and the therapist says which.
8 to 18 min: One cleanse, not two. Shuunnya Care Cream Face Wash for Dry and Sensitive Skin, pH 5.5, about 2 percent active surfactant, with refined sunflower oil in it on purpose. Lukewarm water, never hot, and blotted dry rather than rubbed.
18 to 38 min: Twenty minutes of massage with almost no pressure, on a slip of Shuunnya Care Everyday Face Cream. No stretching, no tapping, no percussion, nothing that drags skin.
38 to 48 min: Compress. Cotton pads in cool water, changed twice, ten minutes. Not a mask, not a pack, nothing that sets or has to be peeled off.
48 to 60 min: Shuunnya Care Everyday Face Cream at ceramides 0.30, cholesterol 0.10, fatty acids 0.10. Shuunnya Care Barrier Balm on the driest patches, shea 40 percent and squalane 20 percent, no water and no preservative in it. Then Shuunnya Care Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, zinc oxide 24.0 percent, warmed between the palms and pressed on rather than rubbed.
Why the mineral sunscreen: One filter, zinc oxide, and no organic filter at all. Organic filters are the ones that sting when a face sweats, and this is the sunscreen its own page recommends for skin just off a facial or a peel. It also works from the moment it is on rather than needing twenty minutes to film.
What the struck price is: Rs 1679 is the standing rate for this work. Rs 1399 is the opening rate while Poise At Home is being stood up in Gaya. A crew with no track record in this district should not charge what a proven one does, and that is the whole of the difference. It is not a countdown and there is no deadline on it.

What is deliberately left out, and who should book the other facial

No steam: Heat dilates vessels and on rosacea or a flushing skin that is exactly the wrong direction. Not available in this booking even on request.
No scrub, no acid, no peel: No granules, no salicylic, no glycolic, no lactic, no enzyme. This skin does not have a surplus of barrier to spare.
No extraction: Not one comedone. Pressure on inflamed reactive skin marks it, and the marks last far longer than the blackhead would have.
No machine, no mask: No high frequency, no galvanic, no LED, no sheet mask, no clay, no peel-off. Peel-off masks in particular pull at the top layer, which is the layer we are here to leave alone.
No fragrance and no essential oil: Nothing containing parfum, and no lavender, tea tree, citrus or any other essential oil. Essential oils are marketed as the gentle option and they are among the most reliable contact allergens there are.
Book the brightening one instead if: Your skin tolerates products normally and the complaint is dullness or uneven tone. Brightening Facial at Home is Rs 1,299 for 60 minutes with a short-contact acid, steam, extraction and niacinamide 4.0 percent. It is a hundred rupees less and it does considerably more, and on reactive skin it would be the wrong thing.
Book nothing at all if: You have an active flare, broken or weeping skin, an infection, or you are inside two weeks of a procedure. The therapist will call it off at your door and charge nothing. Skin in a flare wants a doctor and a fortnight, not a facial.

Who comes, hygiene, and if something goes wrong

Who is coming, and when you find out: You get the name of the person and their photograph on the booking confirmation, before they set off. If a different person has to come, you are told before they leave and you can decline without any charge. Nothing is subcontracted: the person at your door is engaged by Poise At Home, not a partner agency and not whoever was free.
Where we come: Gaya town: A.P. Colony, Rampur, Delha, Chandauti, Magadh Colony, Kendui, Bodhgaya road up to the bypass. Outside that ring we say no rather than take the booking and be late. No arrival-time promise: you get a two-hour window and a call when the person leaves for you.
What is single-use and thrown away in front of you: Anything porous cannot be sterilised, so it is never reused: emery boards, buffers, cotton, wooden cuticle sticks, wax spatulas, threading thread, razor blades, tub liners, sponges and applicators. They come out of a sealed pack at the start of your visit and go into a bag that leaves with the therapist.
How reusable tools are sterilised: Scrubbed under running water, then eight minutes in an ultrasonic bath, then pouched and run through a Class B tabletop autoclave at 121 C and 15 psi for 20 minutes. Each pouch carries a chemical indicator strip that changes colour only if the cycle actually held, and the pouch is opened in front of you so you see the strip. The autoclave is spore-tested with Geobacillus stearothermophilus once a month, because a colour strip proves heat and only a spore test proves the machine kills anything.
The therapist who takes this booking: Extra in-house training on reactive skin, and specifically on saying no. The failure mode here is a therapist who adds a nice-sounding step because the customer asked, and the whole product is a person who will not.
Bring your own: If there is a cleanser or a moisturiser you already trust, hand it over and she will use yours instead of ours. The price does not change. Your skin knowing a product is worth more than our ingredient list.
The rework window: Seven days. If the skin flares after, we stop billing, pay for the doctor visit, and hand you the written list of everything used with percentages, which is the thing a dermatologist actually needs and almost never gets.
If something is damaged or you react: A towel goes under everything and the floor is swept and the sink rinsed before we leave. If we stain a surface, mark a floor or break something, we pay to put it right, and you do not have to argue about it. If your skin reacts to something we applied, stop the session, we stop charging from that point, and we pay for a doctor visit. This is why the patch test on colour is a requirement and not a suggestion.
