Details

A cleanup, forty-five minutes, in your own bathroom light. Cleanse, exfoliate, steam, safe extraction, then something calming and sunscreen. The cheat in a cleanup is that nothing about it is stated. No product, no sequence, no minutes. You get "cleanup" on a price list and whatever the therapist has in her bag, decanted into a bowl. So all three are here, and the products are ours, with the numbers already published on their own pages. The cleanse is Shuunnya Care Gentle Daily Face Wash if your skin is normal or dry, ten ingredients at a measured pH 5.5, or Shuunnya Care Clarifying Face Wash for Oily Skin if it is oily, salicylic acid 1.0 percent at a measured pH 4.0, which works out at 8.5 percent free acid. The therapist picks after looking, and tells you which and why. The exfoliation is that same salicylic acid left on for three minutes, not a scrub. There is no walnut shell and no apricot kernel scrub in the bag, because ground shell has jagged edges under a microscope and it tears the top layer in fine lines that you cannot see and that let everything else in. It is the most widely sold facial product in India and it is the one we will not carry. There is no Shuunnya Care face pack, so rather than open an unnamed tub of clay, the calming step is Shuunnya Care Light Gel Moisturiser, niacinamide 4.0 percent at pH 5.8 with zinc PCA, and the finish is Shuunnya Care Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, zinc oxide 24 percent, which is the right sunscreen for skin that has just been steamed and extracted and which starts working the moment it is on. Poise At Home is being stood up in Gaya and nobody is engaged for this role yet. Bookings open when a police-verified person has passed the practical assessment, and not before. What is included, minute by minute, with the products named

Total: 45 minutes. The extraction step is capped at 10 of them whatever is left behind, because past ten minutes the skin is inflamed and every further extraction makes a mark.
0 to 5 min: Skin looked at in daylight or under your brightest lamp. Type called out loud, products chosen and named to you, and any area that is not going to be touched pointed out before anything starts.
5 to 12 min: Cleanse twice. Shuunnya Care Gentle Daily Face Wash, ten ingredients, pH 5.5, for normal and dry skin; or the Clarifying Face Wash for Oily Skin, salicylic acid 1.0 percent at pH 4.0. About 2 ml each pass.
12 to 18 min: Exfoliation. The clarifying wash left on for three minutes as a short contact, then rinsed. No scrub, no granules, no brush. If your skin is dry the acid step is skipped entirely and the time goes to the massage.
18 to 26 min: Steam, 8 minutes, from a hand-held steamer held about 30 cm off the face, eyes covered with damp cotton. Say no and it is skipped, with no argument and no change in price.
26 to 36 min: Extraction. Open comedones only, with a stainless comedone extractor out of an autoclave pouch opened in front of you. Gloves. Nothing squeezed with fingernails, nothing done to a red inflamed spot, nothing at all to a cyst.
36 to 45 min: Calm and protect. Shuunnya Care Light Gel Moisturiser, niacinamide 4.0 percent, zinc PCA, pH 5.8. Then Shuunnya Care Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, zinc oxide 24 percent, which works from the moment it is on rather than needing twenty minutes to settle.
What the struck price is: Rs 779 is the standing rate for this work. Rs 649 is the opening rate while Poise At Home is being stood up in Gaya. A crew with no track record in this district should not charge what a proven one does, and that is the whole of the difference. It is not a countdown and there is no deadline on it.

What is not included, what we refuse, and which facial to book instead

A cleanup is not a facial: No massage sequence, no mask, no serum, no ampoule. Brightening Facial at Home is Rs 1,299 and Calming Facial for Sensitive Skin at Home is Rs 1,399, and each runs sixty minutes with a different point.
No walnut or apricot scrub: Not in the bag at any price. Ground shell has jagged edges and leaves fine tears you cannot see. Chemical exfoliation at a stated percentage and a stated pH does the same job without them.
No bleach, no D-tan, no fairness anything: We do not put hydrogen peroxide and ammonia on a face, and we carry no lightening product. There is no version of this booking that includes one.
No cyst, no inflamed spot: Extraction is for open comedones. A red raised lesion squeezed at home is how a two-week spot becomes a two-year mark, and no amount of asking will get the therapist to do it.
No steam if you have rosacea: Or visible broken capillaries, or active eczema on the face. The steam step is dropped and the time is used elsewhere. Say so at booking and the therapist arrives already planning around it.
Retinoids and acids: Tell us what you use. If tretinoin, adapalene or a strong acid has been on your face in the last five days, the exfoliation and extraction steps come out. We will do the cleanse, steam and finish rather than reschedule you.
How long the effect lasts: Skin looks clearer and feels smoother for about four to seven days. A cleanup does not change your skin, and monthly cleanups will not either. What changes skin is what you use daily, which is why every product above is a Rs 245 to Rs 340 bottle you can just buy.

Who comes, hygiene, and if something goes wrong

Who is coming, and when you find out: You get the name of the person and their photograph on the booking confirmation, before they set off. If a different person has to come, you are told before they leave and you can decline without any charge. Nothing is subcontracted: the person at your door is engaged by Poise At Home, not a partner agency and not whoever was free.
Where we come: Gaya town: A.P. Colony, Rampur, Delha, Chandauti, Magadh Colony, Kendui, Bodhgaya road up to the bypass. Outside that ring we say no rather than take the booking and be late. No arrival-time promise: you get a two-hour window and a call when the person leaves for you.
What is single-use and thrown away in front of you: Anything porous cannot be sterilised, so it is never reused: emery boards, buffers, cotton, wooden cuticle sticks, wax spatulas, threading thread, razor blades, tub liners, sponges and applicators. They come out of a sealed pack at the start of your visit and go into a bag that leaves with the therapist.
How reusable tools are sterilised: Scrubbed under running water, then eight minutes in an ultrasonic bath, then pouched and run through a Class B tabletop autoclave at 121 C and 15 psi for 20 minutes. Each pouch carries a chemical indicator strip that changes colour only if the cycle actually held, and the pouch is opened in front of you so you see the strip. The autoclave is spore-tested with Geobacillus stearothermophilus once a month, because a colour strip proves heat and only a spore test proves the machine kills anything.
Fragrance-free by default: Every Shuunnya Care product used here is fragrance-free, with no parfum and no essential oil, so there is nothing to ask for and nothing to opt out of.
The rework window: Seven days. Honestly there is little to redo in a cleanup, so this mostly means: if your skin is worse afterwards, tell us. We stop billing, pay for the doctor visit, and the therapist writes down every product and percentage that touched your face so the doctor is not guessing.
A breakout afterwards: Some skin purges for three to five days after extraction and steam. That is normal. Spreading redness, swelling, or a raised itch is not, and it means something reacted, so tell us the same day.
If something is damaged or you react: A towel goes under everything and the floor is swept and the sink rinsed before we leave. If we stain a surface, mark a floor or break something, we pay to put it right, and you do not have to argue about it. If your skin reacts to something we applied, stop the session, we stop charging from that point, and we pay for a doctor visit. This is why the patch test on colour is a requirement and not a suggestion.
