The Shuunnya promise

Designed for the way it is used every morning rather than for how it photographs, with the lamp heat, the camphor soot and the daily wipe planned in and the board grade named honestly rather than upsold.

  • A 12 mm granite insert above the lamp, not a laminate called heat tolerant.
  • Smoke-facing panel wipes clean. A matt texture holds soot and would not.
  • IS 303 board named, because a pooja unit is not a wet zone.
  • Lighting wired inside the unit, never surface run afterwards.

Details

Rs 42,000 is three running feet at Rs 14,000 a running foot, for a standing or wall mounted unit 3 ft wide and up to 7 ft high, and the fourth foot is another Rs 14,000. A pooja space is used every single morning, and that is exactly what most of them are not built for. Lamp heat sits directly under a laminate shelf and browns it within a year. Camphor soot settles into a matt textured surface and stays there, because a texture that catches light also catches soot. Ash falls into a joint that cannot be wiped. The storage turns out to be too shallow for what is actually kept there. So the design starts from the daily use. A 12 mm granite insert above the lamp position, because a laminate over a lamp is not a heat surface and calling it one is how the browning happens. A gloss or compact laminate on the smoke-facing panel rather than a matt texture, because matt holds soot in its grain and cannot be wiped clean. Drawers sized to what you actually keep. A lighting point wired inside the unit rather than surface run afterwards. Then the aesthetic, in jaali, carved, marble or plain. On board grade this page will argue against the upsell rather than for it. The carcass here is a boiling water resistant board to IS 303, not the marine grade IS 710 used in kitchens, because a pooja unit is not a wet zone and IS 710 would be a grade you pay for and never use. The ISI mark and the mill stamp are printed on the board face either way, and the day the boards reach your site is the only day you can check them.

  • Rs 14,000 a running foot, with the contents of a foot printed, 3 feet as the starting package
  • Carcass in boiling water resistant board to IS 303, named honestly rather than upsold to marine grade
  • 12 mm granite insert above the lamp position, not a laminate called heat tolerant
  • Smoke-facing panel in gloss or compact laminate, because matt texture holds camphor soot in its grain
  • All four edges of every panel banded, 2 mm on visible edges and 0.8 mm internally
  • Lighting point planned into the unit with wiring concealed, not surface run afterwards
  • 3D view approved before anything is manufactured, 15 to 22 working days from sign-off
  • Not included: idols, lamps, bells and brassware, marble cladding, carved teak jaali, full room panelling and the electrical point itself, each priced below
  • One thing no design can fix: camphor soot will still land. This unit is built so it wipes off, not so it never arrives

Product information

What Rs 42,000 includes, at Rs 14,000 a running foot
The size it assumes
3 running feet of width, up to 7 ft high, standing or wall mounted. The fourth foot and beyond is Rs 14,000 at the same specification
Per running foot
Carcass Rs 6,200, jaali or panelled front and doors Rs 3,400, granite lamp surface Rs 1,900, drawer bank share and hardware Rs 1,600, lighting point and concealed wiring inside the unit Rs 900. That sums to Rs 14,000, and 3 feet to Rs 42,000
Carcass
Boiling water resistant board to IS 303, with the ISI mark and mill stamp on the face. Marine grade IS 710 is available on request and we will tell you it is a grade this room does not need
Lamp zone
A 12 mm granite insert set above the lamp position. Where the back wall takes direct flame, an SS 304 sheet behind it, priced on the quotation
Smoke-facing surfaces
Gloss or compact laminate where camphor smoke rises. A matt textured surface is refused here whatever it costs, because texture holds soot in its grain and cannot be wiped
Banding and internals
2 mm edge band on visible edges, 0.8 mm internally, all four edges of every panel banded. One drawer bank plus shelving, sized at the design stage to what you actually keep
Everything else in the price
The 3D view, manufacture, delivery, fitting, levelling, concealed wiring inside the unit, cleanup and a written care sheet
What Rs 42,000 does NOT include, with prices
Anything worshipped or lit
Idols, lamps, bells, brassware and cloth are not supplied at any price. Majestic builds joinery and nothing else, and a unit built for your lamp needs to know its size before we draw
Marble cladding
Rs 240 to Rs 650 a square foot supplied and fixed, depending on the stone
Carved teak jaali doors
Rs 9,500 to Rs 24,000 a pair depending on the carving. The CNC-cut MDF look-alike is Rs 3,200 to Rs 6,800 a pair, and we will tell you it is MDF and that a wet mop reaching its bottom edge will swell it
Full room panelling
About Rs 1,450 a square foot, where the whole room is treated rather than a unit fitted
The electrical point
Yours, brought to the marked position before we fit. If we arrange it, Rs 900 to Rs 1,600 a point. Wiring inside the unit is included, wiring to the unit is not
Civil work
Plaster, flooring, tiling and painting are not in this figure, and the room must be finished before we fit
The room door
Where the pooja space is a separate room, its door, frame and any threshold are a separate quotation
Who builds it, and what happens if it goes wrong
Who fits it
Majestic's own fitting team. Police character verification for anyone entering a home, references from previous work contacted, and any licence checked against the issuing register rather than a photocopy
Named before arrival
You are told the fitters' names before the fitting day. Placement direction, if you observe one, is asked for at the design stage and drawn in, not corrected on site
Timeline
3D view 4 to 6 working days, production 12 to 18 working days from written sign-off, fitting 1 to 2 days on site
Workmanship warranty
1 year on our fitting, alignment and finishing, stated as Majestic's own. Majestic is a separately owned affiliated business and is the party on the invoice
Board warranty
A real manufacturer certificate against delamination, filed in the folder handed to you with the invoice, batch details, the care sheet and the approved 3D view
Service and spares
2 free visits in the first year. Matching finish stocked, so a repair later still matches rather than being close enough
What is not covered
Heat or flame damage from a lamp moved off the granite insert after handover, soot allowed to bake on rather than being wiped, and any surface treated with a scouring powder. The care sheet says all of this in writing before it happens
No statutory licence exists
India has no statutory licence for interior joinery or interior design and no council registers the trade. We are not going to invent one. The GST registration, the municipal trade licence, the board mill's BIS licence and the police verification are what this page offers instead
