The Shuunnya promise
A 900 VA inverter pulls about 90 A at the battery once losses are counted, so it gets at least 16 sq mm copper and an in-line fuse, not the thin lead that came in the carton.
- At least 16 sq mm copper on the DC side, run kept under 1.5 metres.
- In-line DC fuse fitted, and the output taken to its own MCB.
- House earth tested and the reading written down and given to you.
- No special earthing kit sold at the door. It is not a real thing.

Details
Installation labour for one inverter and battery: siting them, assembling the trolley, cleaning and greasing the terminals, running the DC cable, fitting an in-line DC fuse, taking the output to its own MCB in your existing board, checking the load on the backed-up circuits, starting the first charge, and reading and writing down the electrolyte level and the float voltage. The number worth arguing about is the DC cable. A 900 VA inverter on a 12 V battery draws roughly 75 A at the battery at full load, and closer to 90 A once conversion losses are counted. The cable that comes in most boxes is not sized for that, and an undersized DC lead on a permanently connected battery is a heating problem that nobody sees until it is a burning one. We fit at least 16 sq mm copper on a 12 V single-battery system and keep the run under 1.5 metres, and if that means a longer cable than the one in the carton, you get the longer cable. The second thing to know is that an inverter does not need a special earthing kit sold at your door. It needs the house earth to actually work. We will test the earth and give you the reading, and if it is bad we will tell you what a real earth pit costs instead of selling you a gadget. A flooded tubular battery vents hydrogen while charging, so it goes somewhere ventilated and never in a closed cupboard or a bedroom.
- At least 16 sq mm copper on the DC side, run kept under 1.5 m, with an in-line DC fuse
- Output taken to its own MCB in the existing board, not spliced into a socket
- Load on the backed-up circuits checked against the inverter rating and written down
- Electrolyte level and float voltage read and recorded at handover
- Not included: the inverter at Rs 4,500 to Rs 7,500 typical, the battery at Rs 12,000 to Rs 17,000 for a 150 Ah tubular, separate wiring of backed-up points at Rs 450 to Rs 900 each, a stabiliser, and earth pit work at Rs 3,500 to Rs 6,500
- Parts are charged at the printed MRP on the box and never above it, the box and the bill are left with you, and there is no handling charge on top. You may also buy the part yourself and we will fit it, and the labour price does not change.
- 12 months on the installation, the cable and the terminations. The inverter and battery carry their own warranties and the bills are handed to you
- What is missing from this page is deliberate: no arrival window, no crew size, no turnaround promise. Those come from a roster that is still being built, and printing them early is how this trade starts lying.
Product information
What is included
- Siting and mounting
- Inverter and battery placed and the trolley assembled, in a ventilated position. A flooded tubular battery vents hydrogen and never goes in a closed cupboard or a bedroom
- DC side
- At least 16 sq mm copper on a 12 V single-battery system with the run kept under 1.5 metres, an in-line DC fuse, and terminals cleaned and greased
- AC side
- Output taken to its own MCB in the existing distribution board, never spliced into a socket
- Commissioning
- Load on the backed-up circuits checked against the inverter rating, first charge started, electrolyte level and float voltage read and written down
- Earthing
- House earth tested and the reading given to you. If it is poor we tell you and quote a real earth pit rather than selling an accessory
- Time on site
- 2 to 3 hours for a single-battery installation
What is not included
- The equipment
- Inverter Rs 4,500 to Rs 7,500 typical for 900 VA, and a 150 Ah tubular battery Rs 12,000 to Rs 17,000. Parts are charged at the printed MRP on the box and never above it, the box and the bill are left with you, and there is no handling charge on top. You may also buy the part yourself and we will fit it, and the labour price does not change.
- Backed-up wiring
- Running a separate circuit so specific points stay live is Rs 450 to Rs 900 per point, quoted before we start
- Earth pit
- A new earth pit is Rs 3,500 to Rs 6,500 and is its own job
- Stabiliser
- Not supplied and generally not needed on the inverter itself. If your supply voltage is poor we will show you the reading
- Distilled water
- Topping up is yours to do monthly on a flooded battery. We show you the level marks and how to read them
- Two-battery systems
- A 24 V or 48 V stack is a different cable calculation and is quoted on the system, not at this price
Who comes, and what happens if it goes wrong
- Vetting
- Police verification through the local station for anyone entering a home, references from previous work actually contacted, and a trade test plus supervised jobs before the person carries a booking alone. A licence, where the trade has one, is checked against the issuing register and not against a photocopy.
- Licence
- Electrical work is one of the few home trades that does carry a real licence. A wireman permit and a contractor licence are issued by the Electrical Inspectorate, Government of Bihar, and we check them against the issuing register rather than against a photocopy, because a photocopy is what a lapsed licence looks like.
- Employed or engaged
- At launch the tradesperson may be engaged through our partner network rather than salaried. We say that plainly because the common cheat is a platform that advertises its own crew and dispatches whoever is free. The verification, the method, the checklist and the bill for a redo are ours either way.
- Named before arrival
- You are told the name of the person assigned and which trade licence they carry when the job is assigned, which may be shortly before the visit rather than days ahead.
- Service area
- Gaya town and up to 10 km beyond the municipal limit. A booking outside that area is refused at checkout rather than accepted and then missed.
- Rework window
- 12 months on the installation, the cable and the terminations. A return inside the window carries no second call-out charge
- Not covered
- The inverter or battery failing on its own, which is the maker warranty and we hand you the bill, and a battery ruined by never being topped up
- Damage
- Damage caused by our tool or our hand is repaired at our cost. We will refuse to install a battery in an unventilated space rather than do it and note it on the card
