The Shuunnya promise

Four hours at Rs 225 an hour, against Rs 996 for four separate call-outs, which is the whole reason to book it. At three hours you are told what will not fit rather than finding out later.

  • Four hours on site with drill, ladder and standard fixings included.
  • Rs 225 an hour, against Rs 249 a call-out for each job separately.
  • At three hours we say what will not fit, so nothing is left half done.
  • Licensed plumbing and electrical work goes to that trade, not this one.

Details

Four hours of one tradesperson on site with a drill, bits, a ladder, screws and standard wall plugs, for the pile of small jobs that are individually not worth a call-out. Curtain rods, wall shelves, mirrors, photo frames, name plates, door stoppers, tower bolts, mosquito mesh, towel rails, bathroom accessories, a bracket you already own, and the two dozen loose things everyone means to tighten. The arithmetic is the reason this listing exists and it is worth checking: Rs 899 for four hours is Rs 225 an hour of on-site time, and four separate call-outs at Rs 249 each would be Rs 996 before a single job was done. Two honest rules govern the day. First, at the three hour mark we will tell you plainly what will and will not fit in the time left, so the last job is not started and abandoned half done with holes already drilled. Second, if you want to run over, it is Rs 225 per half hour, quoted and agreed before we continue and never added afterwards. What this cannot be is a way to buy licensed trade work at a discount. Anything that is a real plumbing or electrical intervention, a new wiring point, a concealed pipe, a board change, goes to that trade and that person at that rate, and we will say so rather than let an unlicensed hand open a switchboard because it was quicker.

  • Four hours of one tradesperson on site, at Rs 225 an hour, with drill, bits, ladder and standard fixings included

  • At the three hour mark we tell you what will and will not fit, so nothing is started and abandoned
  • Overrun at Rs 225 per half hour, agreed before we continue, never billed after
  • Not included: the items being fitted, licensed electrical or plumbing work which goes to that trade at that rate, chasing and making good, and anything above ladder height
  • Parts are charged at the printed MRP on the box and never above it, the box and the bill are left with you, and there is no handling charge on top. You may also buy the part yourself and we will fit it, and the labour price does not change.
  • 90 days on any fixing we made
  • We publish where we work, not how fast we get there. The Gaya crew is being stood up person by person and a response time we cannot hold is worth less to you than the silence.

Who comes, and what happens if it goes wrong
Vetting
Police verification through the local station for anyone entering a home, references from previous work actually contacted, and a trade test plus supervised jobs before the person carries a booking alone. A licence, where the trade has one, is checked against the issuing register and not against a photocopy.
Qualification
There is no statutory licence for carpentry or fitting work in India, and we are not going to invent one. What we can show is the trade licence, the police verification, contacted references and our own trade test, and we would rather say the certificate does not exist than imply one.
Employed or engaged
At launch the tradesperson may be engaged through our partner network rather than salaried. We say that plainly because the common cheat is a platform that advertises its own crew and dispatches whoever is free. The verification, the method, the checklist and the bill for a redo are ours either way.
Named before arrival
You are told the name of the person assigned and which trade licence they carry when the job is assigned, which may be shortly before the visit rather than days ahead.
Service area
Gaya town and up to 10 km beyond the municipal limit. A booking outside that area is refused at checkout rather than accepted and then missed.
