Rs 15,999 repaints a 2 BHK of about 2,400 square feet of paintable wall and ceiling, which is Rs 6.67 a square foot, and it is the same rate as the single-room price on our own listing because a whole home is not an occasion to quietly change the arithmetic. A 3 BHK of about 3,400 square feet is Rs 22,999, which is Rs 6.76, and both numbers are printed here so the two can be compared. The cheat to watch on a whole-home job is coats, and it is easier to hide over 2,400 square feet than over one room. At 130 to 150 square feet per litre per coat, a 2,400 square foot home takes about 17 litres a coat and about 34 litres for two, plus around 12 litres of primer. Those figures are on the quote and every empty tin is stacked and handed over at the end, because that is the only honest proof that a second coat happened. Preparation is the same as a single room and it is not shortened for volume: loose paint scraped back, surface sanded, acrylic wall putty on patches, one coat of water-based acrylic primer, then two full coats of interior acrylic emulsion to IS 15489, low VOC under 50 grams a litre.
