The Shuunnya promise
The fixing is what decides whether a fitted unit stays on the wall, so it is printed: at least four anchors, sized to the wall it is going into, and a load test on every shelf before we leave.
- At least four fixings per wall-hung unit, sized to brick or to RCC.
- Load test on every shelf before we pack up.
- A loaded unit is not hung on a hollow wall. We quote a backing frame.
- Board, if we supply it, carries a printed grade and a visible stamp.

Details
Rs 4,999 is installation labour for one wardrobe up to 7 feet high and 6 feet wide, or up to 5 running feet of fitted shelving, from a flat pack or from carcasses already made for you. It is labour, and this page does not pretend the board is in it. The number that decides whether a fitted unit is safe is not the board at all, it is the fixing, and almost nobody publishes it. Every wall-hung unit here takes at least four fixings: 8 mm nylon anchors with 8 by 75 mm screws into solid brick, and mechanical anchors into RCC. An anchor into brick is not the same as an anchor into an RCC column, and neither of them is a nail driven into plaster, which is what a loaded wardrobe coming off a wall was almost always hanging on. Every shelf gets a load test before we leave. There are two jobs we will refuse rather than take. We will not hang a heavy loaded unit on a hollow block wall or a 4.5 inch partition without a proper backing frame, and where that is your wall we quote the frame instead of pretending the wall is fine. And where the wall is out of plumb, and a 20 mm lean over 7 feet is common in older Gaya construction, we show you the gap and the filler strip before we start, because a wardrobe that fits the room but not the wall is not something to discover at handover. If you ask us to supply board, it is quoted separately with the grade printed on the quote, BWP plywood to IS 710 anywhere near water and MR grade to IS 303 elsewhere, and the maker stamp left visible inside the carcass so the grade is checkable rather than claimed.
- Level and plumb setting, wall fixing, shutter and hinge alignment, drawer and channel fitting, handles, edge and gap finishing, load test on every shelf
- At least four fixings per wall-hung unit: 8 mm nylon anchors with 8 by 75 mm screws into brick, mechanical anchors into RCC
- Not included: the wardrobe or the board, carcass manufacture, electrical points inside the unit, mirror over 4 sq ft, lofts above 8 feet, plumbing out an out-of-plumb wall, and making good
- We refuse to hang a loaded unit on a hollow block or partition wall without a backing frame, and quote the frame instead
- Board, if you ask us to supply it, is quoted with the grade printed and the maker stamp left visible
- 12 months on the installation, the fixings and the alignment. Board and hardware carry their own makers and the bills are handed to you
- What is missing from this page is deliberate: no arrival window, no crew size, no turnaround promise. Those come from a roster that is still being built, and printing them early is how this trade starts lying.
Product information
What is included
- Scope
- One wardrobe up to 7 feet high by 6 feet wide, or up to 5 running feet of fitted shelving, from flat pack or from carcasses already made
- Setting
- Levelled and plumbed, packed where the floor is uneven, and fixed square to the room rather than square to a crooked wall
- Fixings
- At least four per wall-hung unit. 8 mm nylon anchors with 8 by 75 mm screws into solid brick, mechanical anchors into RCC
- Fitting out
- Shutter and hinge alignment, drawer and channel fitting, handles, edge and gap finishing
- Load test
- Every shelf loaded and checked before we leave, and the fixings re-torqued afterwards
- Time
- One working day for a single wardrobe
What is not included
- The unit itself
- The wardrobe, the board and carcass manufacture are not in this price. If you ask us to supply board it is quoted separately, BWP plywood to IS 710 near water and MR grade to IS 303 elsewhere, with the grade printed on the quote and the maker stamp left visible inside the carcass
- Hollow walls
- A loaded unit will not be hung on a hollow block wall or a 4.5 inch partition without a backing frame. We quote the frame rather than take the job and hope
- Out-of-plumb walls
- A 20 mm lean over 7 feet is common in older construction here. A filler strip or scribe is quoted, and we show you the gap before starting rather than at handover
- Electrical
- A light or a socket inside the unit is on the electrical rate and needs its own point
- Mirrors and lofts
- Mirror fitting over 4 square feet, and loft units above 8 feet which need different access, are quoted on the piece
- Making good
- Drill dust is cleared. Plaster repair, putty and paint around the unit are not in this price
Who comes, and what happens if it goes wrong
- Vetting
- Police verification through the local station for anyone entering a home, references from previous work actually contacted, and a trade test plus supervised jobs before the person carries a booking alone. A licence, where the trade has one, is checked against the issuing register and not against a photocopy.
- Qualification
- There is no statutory licence for carpentry or fitting work in India, and we are not going to invent one. What we can show is the trade licence, the police verification, contacted references and our own trade test, and we would rather say the certificate does not exist than imply one.
- Employed or engaged
- At launch the tradesperson may be engaged through our partner network rather than salaried. We say that plainly because the common cheat is a platform that advertises its own crew and dispatches whoever is free. The verification, the method, the checklist and the bill for a redo are ours either way.
- Named before arrival
- You are told the name of the person assigned and which trade licence they carry when the job is assigned, which may be shortly before the visit rather than days ahead.
- Service area
- Gaya town and up to 10 km beyond the municipal limit. A booking outside that area is refused at checkout rather than accepted and then missed.
- Rework window
- 12 months on the installation, the fixings and the alignment. A return inside the window carries no second call-out charge
- Who stands behind it
- The 12 months is an undertaking from Shuunnya LifeStore, not from the individual who did the work, so it does not depend on that person still being on the roster
- Not covered
- The board or hardware failing on its own, which is its maker warranty and we hand you the bills, a unit loaded well beyond what it was made for, and anything moved or re-fixed by someone else
- Damage
- Damage caused by our tool or our hand is repaired at our cost. Where a wall or its plaster is already weak, we show you and let you decide before drilling
