Details
Rs 299 fits one fan, light or fixture to a point that already exists: connected, earthed, tested, and in the case of a fan, balanced and checked for wobble before we leave. Every additional point in the same visit is Rs 199, and that number is on this page because it is the one people are told at the end of the job rather than the start. What is not in the price, said plainly. The fan or fitting itself is yours. A ceiling hook where none exists is Rs 350, and in an RCC slab it takes a proper anchor fastener rather than a nail hammered into the plaster, which is what a wobbling ceiling fan in an Indian home usually turns out to be sitting on. A new wiring point where none exists is Rs 450 to Rs 900 depending on the run. A fan regulator is Rs 120 to Rs 450. Anything over 8 kg, a chandelier or a heavy pendant, needs a load check and a fixing quoted on the piece, and anything needing scaffolding rather than a ladder we will decline rather than improvise. One honest note that saves people money regularly: a wobbling fan is nearly always the blade set out of plane or the mount, not the motor, and we will show you which it is before you go and buy a new fan.

What is not included
- The fitting
- The fan, light or fixture is yours to buy. Parts are charged at the printed MRP on the box and never above it, the box and the bill are left with you, and there is no handling charge on top. You may also buy the part yourself and we will fit it, and the labour price does not change.
- A new ceiling hook
- Rs 350. In an RCC slab this takes a mechanical anchor fastener, not a nail into plaster, which is what most wobbling fans in this city are hanging from
- A new wiring point
- Rs 450 to Rs 900 depending on the run and whether it is surface casing or chased into the wall
- Regulator
- Rs 120 to Rs 450 for a step or electronic regulator, fitted at no extra labour when done with the fan
- Heavy fittings
- Anything over 8 kg, a chandelier or heavy pendant, is quoted on the piece after a load check on the ceiling
- Access we do not have
- Anything needing scaffolding rather than a ladder is declined rather than improvised, and false-ceiling cutting is a separate trade
Who comes, and what happens if it goes wrong
- Vetting
- Police verification through the local station for anyone entering a home, references from previous work actually contacted, and a trade test plus supervised jobs before the person carries a booking alone. A licence, where the trade has one, is checked against the issuing register and not against a photocopy.
- Licence
- Electrical work is one of the few home trades that does carry a real licence. A wireman permit and a contractor licence are issued by the Electrical Inspectorate, Government of Bihar, and we check them against the issuing register rather than against a photocopy, because a photocopy is what a lapsed licence looks like.
- Employed or engaged
- At launch the tradesperson may be engaged through our partner network rather than salaried. We say that plainly because the common cheat is a platform that advertises its own crew and dispatches whoever is free. The verification, the method, the checklist and the bill for a redo are ours either way.
- Named before arrival
- You are told the name of the person assigned and which trade licence they carry when the job is assigned, which may be shortly before the visit rather than days ahead.
- Service area
- Gaya town and up to 10 km beyond the municipal limit. A booking outside that area is refused at checkout rather than accepted and then missed.
- Rework window
- 12 months on the fixing and the connection we made. A return inside the window carries no second call-out charge
- Not covered
- A fault in the fan or fitting itself, which is the maker warranty and we hand you the bill, and a wobble caused by a blade bent after we left
- Damage
- Damage caused by our tool or our hand is repaired at our cost. Where a ceiling or plaster is already weak we show you before drilling and let you decide
