The Shuunnya promise
A shampooed mattress is a cleaner mattress and nothing more. It does not remove dust mites and does nothing to bed bugs, and if bed bugs are your problem we will refuse this job.
- Rs 899 for a rug to 60 sq ft, or a double, or two single mattresses.
- No mite, allergy or bed bug claim is made, because none would be true.
- Extraction-rinsed until the water runs clean, not foam-and-vacuum.
- A mattress needs 6 to 10 hours drying, and we say so before booking.

Details
Rs 899 covers one of the following: a carpet or rug up to 60 square feet, or one double mattress, or two singles. Beyond that it is Rs 12 a square foot of carpet and Rs 250 for each further single mattress. The method is the same as our upholstery work and for the same reason: dry vacuum, spot pre-treatment, low-moisture shampoo or hot-water extraction to suit the pile or the ticking, then extraction rinsing until the recovered water runs clean, because un-rinsed detergent is sticky and a rinsed carpet stays clean for months longer than a foamed one that looked brighter on the day. The shampoo is low-foaming, near-neutral pH between 7 and 8.5, with no optical brightener. Now the claim that needs killing. A shampooed mattress is a cleaner mattress. It is not a mite-free mattress and it is certainly not a bed-bug-free one. Dust mites live deep in the filling and shampooing the surface does not reach them; bed bugs live in the seams, the frame and the wall behind the bed and need a pest treatment, not a cleaner. Anyone selling mattress shampooing as an allergy or mite treatment is selling you something that does not exist, and if bed bugs are the actual problem we will tell you to book pest control instead and not take this job at all. Drying matters more on a mattress than anywhere else. It needs 6 to 10 hours before it is slept on, longer in the monsoon, and a mattress put back into service damp will smell and can grow mould inside the filling. If the weather is wet we will say so and suggest a different day rather than take the booking and hope.

- Not included: any stain removal guarantee, silk and pure wool rugs which need a specialist, rubberised or memory foam mattresses that must not be soaked, pre-existing fading and water rings, and pest treatment
- We sell person-hours and a checklist, not a crew size. How the hours are split on the day depends on who is rostered, and we will not print a crew number we cannot guarantee. What is fixed is the hours, the list, and the rule that if the list is not finished we come back and finish it at no extra charge.
- 48 hours to tell us a section was missed or has re-soiled from our work, and it is redone free
- What is missing from this page is deliberate: no arrival window, no crew size, no turnaround promise. Those come from a roster that is still being built, and printing them early is how this trade starts lying.
Product information
What is included
- What one booking covers
- A carpet or rug up to 60 square feet, or one double mattress, or two single mattresses. Beyond that, Rs 12 per additional square foot of carpet and Rs 250 per further single mattress
- Method
- Dry vacuum, spot pre-treatment, low-moisture shampoo or hot-water extraction to suit the pile or the ticking, then extraction rinsing until the recovered water runs clean
- Chemical
- Low-foaming shampoo at near-neutral pH between 7 and 8.5, no optical brightener, which is what turns pale fibre patchy under daylight
- Drying
- A carpet takes 4 to 8 hours with fans and windows. A mattress needs 6 to 10 hours before it is slept on, and longer in the monsoon
- Before we start
- A hidden patch tested, and what we expect to shift and what we do not written on the card and agreed
- Both sides
- A mattress is worked on the sleeping face and turned, and the base and frame are vacuumed while it is off
What is not included
- Mites and bed bugs
- No mite, allergy or bed bug claim is made. Mites live deep in the filling and shampooing the surface does not reach them. Bed bugs live in the seams, the frame and the wall and need a pest treatment. If bed bugs are the problem, we refuse this job and tell you to book that instead
- A stain guarantee
- Old dye, ink, hair oil, pan, urine and heat-set marks may not come out. We say which before starting
- Delicate rugs
- Silk, pure wool and hand-knotted rugs need a specialist wash off site, and we will say so rather than risk your rug
- Foam mattresses
- Rubberised, latex and memory foam must not be soaked, because water does not come back out of them. We will decline or use a dry method and say which
- Pre-existing damage
- Sun fading, water rings, colour loss and worn pile were not created by us and are not removed by us
- Pest treatment
- A separate booking with a named chemical and a stated re-entry period
Who comes, and what happens if it goes wrong
- Vetting
- Police verification through the local station for anyone entering a home, references from previous work actually contacted, and a trade test plus supervised jobs before the person carries a booking alone. A licence, where the trade has one, is checked against the issuing register and not against a photocopy.
- Qualification
- No statutory licence or trade certification exists for domestic cleaning in India, and we will not invent one. What exists is the trade registration, police verification for anyone entering a home, contacted references and our own trade test, and those are what this page offers instead of a certificate.
- Crew
- We sell person-hours and a checklist, not a crew size. How the hours are split on the day depends on who is rostered, and we will not print a crew number we cannot guarantee. What is fixed is the hours, the list, and the rule that if the list is not finished we come back and finish it at no extra charge.
- Employed or engaged
- At launch the tradesperson may be engaged through our partner network rather than salaried. We say that plainly because the common cheat is a platform that advertises its own crew and dispatches whoever is free. The verification, the method, the checklist and the bill for a redo are ours either way.
- Named before arrival
- You are told the name of the person assigned and which trade licence they carry when the job is assigned, which may be shortly before the visit rather than days ahead.
- Service area
- Gaya town and up to 10 km beyond the municipal limit. A booking outside that area is refused at checkout rather than accepted and then missed.
- Rework window
- 48 hours to tell us a section was missed or has re-soiled as a result of our work. It is redone free, with no second call-out charge
- Chemicals
- Named on your card, patch-tested on a hidden area first, and safety data sheets available on request
- Damage
- Damage caused by our machine or our hand is repaired or made good at our cost. Weak backing, perished latex and existing tears are photographed before we start
- Weather
- If the weather will not let a mattress dry, we will say so and suggest a different day rather than take the booking and leave you a damp bed
