Rs 649 services one indoor unit and its outdoor unit. A second and any further air conditioner in the same visit is Rs 549 each, printed here rather than mentioned at the end. What that buys: filters removed and washed, the indoor coil foam-washed with the drain trayed off so nothing goes down your wall, the blower wheel cleaned, the drain line flushed and checked for fall, the outdoor coil washed and its fan checked, and then four readings taken and written on your card, suction pressure, running current, and the delivery air temperature before and after the clean. A healthy split should drop the air across the coil by about 10 to 14 degrees Celsius, and if yours does not, the card will say so and the cause gets diagnosed rather than guessed. The chemical is the thing to ask about and almost nobody names it. We use a foaming aluminium-safe coil cleaner at close to neutral pH. What is commonly used instead is a caustic drain-cleaner-grade solution, because it strips a filthy coil in one pass and looks spectacular doing it. It also attacks the aluminium fin, and the coil that was cleaned brilliantly this April is the coil that starts leaking gas next April. That is the cheat in this job, and it is invisible for a year, which is exactly why it survives. Gas is not part of a service. Gas is not consumed by running an air conditioner, so a service that ends in a gas top-up is either finding a leak, which is a different job on a different page, or selling you something you did not need.
