Details

Decay removed and the tooth rebuilt with a light cured resin composite, shade matched. One tooth, single surface or two surfaces, in one forty five minute sitting. The arithmetic is the honest part. This is priced PER TOOTH, at Rs. 1,200 each, with no discount for doing more in one visit and no surcharge either. Two teeth is Rs. 2,400 and three is Rs. 3,600, and you can choose that below before you book rather than hearing it from a chair. The commonest way a filling appointment costs double what was quoted is that the quote was for one tooth and the mouth had three. The second honest part is a refusal. The specification requires that a tooth needing root canal treatment is NOT filled. A filling placed over a nerve that has already gone is a wasted sitting, wasted money and a fortnight of pain before the same patient pays again for the root canal. You are told which of the two your tooth needs before anything begins, and if the answer is root canal, this appointment ends with a quote and not with a filling. And the trade-off nobody prints: a composite is a repair, not a new tooth. It will not last as long as the enamel it replaced. A small one on a front tooth can last many years; a large one carrying the chewing load on a back molar is a compromise that a crown would do better, and where that is true you will be told so even though the crown is not what you came in to buy. Vitals Clinic at A.P. Colony is not open. There is no practitioner in post, no premises registration and no appointment book, and this page does not pretend otherwise. What is written here is the specification: the qualification the role requires, the register the person must appear on, and the licence the premises must hold. Booking opens when those exist, and not before.

  • One tooth, single or two surface, in one 45 minute sitting, priced per tooth with the arithmetic shown below
  • Light cured resin composite to ISO 4049, shade matched against a standard shade guide
  • Local anaesthetic included where it is needed, at no separate charge
  • Bite checked and adjusted before you leave, so it does not feel high on the drive home
  • Twelve month assurance: refilled at no charge if it fails in normal use
  • Never a filling on a tooth that needs root canal treatment. You are told before anything begins
  • The role requires BDS with current State Dental Council registration

Product information

What is included, and what is not
Time
45 scheduled minutes for one tooth. A second tooth in the same visit adds roughly 30 minutes
Coverage
ONE tooth, single surface or two surfaces. A three surface or cusp rebuilding restoration is quoted separately before it is begun
Extra units, the arithmetic
Priced per tooth at Rs. 1,200. Two teeth Rs. 2,400, three teeth Rs. 3,600. No bundle discount and no bundle surcharge. Choose the number below and the price is settled before you sit down
Material
Light cured resin composite conforming to ISO 4049, shade matched against a standard shade guide in natural light rather than under the chair lamp, which flatters every shade
Anaesthetic
Local anaesthetic, the standard dental cartridge of lignocaine 2 percent with adrenaline 1 in 80,000, included where it is needed. Numbness lasts 1 to 2 hours
Finish
Bite checked with articulating paper and adjusted before you leave. A filling left high is the commonest cause of pain in the days after
Eating afterwards
Straight away. A light cured composite is fully set when the lamp comes off, unlike the older materials that needed a day
NOT included, root canal
A separate treatment, separately quoted before anything begins
NOT included, crown
Separate, and offered only where the tooth genuinely needs covering rather than as an upsell from a filling
NOT included
Extraction, and any treatment on a different tooth from the ones you selected
Referral and commission
No commission on a referral, no target on any panel, and no revenue share with any laboratory, imaging centre or hospital. A test is asked for when the answer would change what you are told to do, and not otherwise
Extra units
Priced per tooth. Two teeth at one sitting is Rs 2,400 and three is Rs 3,600. Booked as one appointment; the number is settled at the chair.
Who provides it, and what registration that requires
The qualification the role requires
BDS with current State Dental Council registration under the Dentists Act 1948, verified against the register rather than a photocopy
Who is in post today
Nobody. No dentist has been appointed, no chair installed and no curing light bought
The refusal, as a rule
A tooth needing root canal treatment is not filled. This is written into the role specification because the incentive runs the other way: a filling is quick, billable, and the patient returns
Instruments
Burs and hand instruments autoclaved, matrix bands, wedges, gloves and suction tips single use and opened in front of you. No autoclave exists yet, so no cycle log can be shown yet
The premises licence
Registration under the Clinical Establishments Act 2010. Not yet granted
When this can be delivered
When a registered practitioner is appointed and the premises registration under the Clinical Establishments Act 2010 is granted. Not before. Nothing on this page describes a service running today
The twelve month assurance, and if something goes wrong
What is covered
The restoration failing in normal use within 12 months. It is refilled at no charge, including the anaesthetic and the sitting
Who pays for the redo
We do. There is no second sitting fee and no material charge on a failure inside the window
What is NOT covered
A new cavity on a different surface or a different tooth. Fracture from biting something genuinely hard, a bone, a nut shell, a bottle cap. A tooth that was told it needed root canal treatment and was filled at your request anyway
The honest trade-off
A composite is a repair and will not last as long as the enamel it replaced. A large restoration carrying chewing load on a back tooth is a compromise, and where a crown would genuinely do better you are told so
Sensitivity afterwards
Mild sensitivity to cold for a week or two is common after a deep filling. Sensitivity that worsens, or pain that wakes you, is worth telling us about rather than waiting out
Complaints
To us first, and there is a statutory route to the State Dental Council with the registration number supplied by us
