The Shuunnya promise

A visit long enough that the parent's questions get answered, the growth chart shown rather than filed, and nothing prescribed to make a consultation end faster.

  • Twenty five scheduled minutes. An overrun costs you nothing
  • No antibiotic for an illness it cannot help, reason in writing
  • The chart is shown to you and explained, not filed away
  • One follow-up within 10 days sits inside this fee

Details

Twenty five scheduled minutes for a child up to twelve years: measurements plotted and shown to you, an examination of heart, chest, abdomen, ears, throat and skin, and a real conversation about feeding, sleep, milestones, screens and school. The visit is deliberately long because most of the value is in the conversation, and the conversation is the first thing a four minute consultation deletes. A parent usually arrives with five questions and asks one. Twenty five minutes is what it takes to get to the other four, and the answers are written on the slip so they survive the drive home rather than evaporating by evening. On antibiotics, plainly. Most childhood fevers, colds and coughs are viral, and an antibiotic does nothing at all to a virus. It is still the commonest thing handed to a worried parent, because a prescription ends a consultation faster than an explanation does. Nothing is prescribed here to look busy. Where an antibiotic is genuinely indicated it is given with the reason written down; where it is not, you get the reason for that too, in writing, so the next person who offers one can be asked why. Nothing is dispensed here. No drug licence is held, so there is no medicine on any shelf to sell you and no margin on anything written. Vitals Clinic at A.P. Colony is not open. There is no practitioner in post, no premises registration and no appointment book, and this page does not pretend otherwise. What is written here is the specification: the qualification the role requires, the register the person must appear on, and the licence the premises must hold. Booking opens when those exist, and not before.

  • 25 scheduled minutes, children from birth to 12 years
  • Weight, height or length, head circumference where age appropriate, plotted and shown to you rather than filed
  • Examination of heart, chest, abdomen, ears, throat and skin
  • Feeding, sleep, milestones, screen time and school covered as part of the visit, not as an afterthought
  • Answers written on the slip, not only spoken
  • One follow-up within 10 days on the same matter, inside this fee
  • No antibiotic for an illness it cannot help, and the reason written down either way

Product information

What is included, and what is not
Time
25 scheduled minutes. If it runs over there is no second fee, and slots are spaced so that it can
Age
Birth to 12 years
Measurements
Weight, length or height, head circumference where age appropriate, plotted on standard charts and shown to you on screen or paper
Examination
Heart, chest, abdomen, ears, throat and skin
The conversation
Feeding, sleep, milestones, screen time and school. This is part of the visit and it is the reason the visit is 25 minutes rather than 10
Take home
The answers written on the slip, and the plotted chart
Follow-up
One follow-up within 10 days on the same matter, inside this fee
NOT included, medicines
Nothing is dispensed here. No drug licence is held, so there is no shelf and no margin on anything prescribed
NOT included, tests and vaccines
Tests are separately listed and quoted before they are run. A vaccination is the separate administration visit at Rs. 350
How often
Every 3 months under a year, every 6 months to age 5, yearly after that. More often than that is usually the parent being sold reassurance
Not for
A high fever with drowsiness, difficulty breathing, a fit, or a child who will not drink. Those need a hospital now, not a booked slot
Referral and commission
No commission on a referral, no target on any panel, and no revenue share with any laboratory, imaging centre or hospital. A test is asked for when the answer would change what you are told to do, and not otherwise
Who provides it, and what registration that requires
The qualification the role requires
MBBS with current State Medical Council registration, checked against the National Medical Register, and a postgraduate paediatric qualification where the role is filled by a paediatrician
How that is verified
Against the register entry, not a photocopy or a certificate on a wall
Who is in post today
Nobody. No practitioner has been appointed and no child has been seen here
The premises licence
Registration under the Clinical Establishments Act 2010. Not yet granted
Bring with you
The immunisation card and any earlier growth records. An earlier measurement is worth more than anything taken today on its own
When this can be delivered
When a registered practitioner is appointed and the premises registration under the Clinical Establishments Act 2010 is granted. Not before. Nothing on this page describes a service running today
Subcontracting
Not subcontracted. The specification is that the person who attends is on the Shuunnya roll, police verified, with the registration checked against the issuing register rather than a photocopy, and references contacted
If something goes wrong
The same matter, twice
A follow-up within 10 days on the same problem carries no second fee. A child who is not improving should come back, and a charge is the wrong thing standing between you and that
If the plan was wrong
A revisit needed because of an error of ours is free whenever it happens
If the slot is not honoured
A visit that does not run its stated 25 minutes because of us is refunded in full on request
What is not covered
An outcome. No consultation can promise one. What is promised is the time, the examination, the conversation, and a written reason for every line of the plan
Complaints
To us first, and there is a statutory route to the State Medical Council with the registration number supplied by us
