The Shuunnya promise

A written plan priced line by line that you take away before anything is begun, a fee set off against treatment, and an X-ray only where a decision turns on it.

  • Nothing is begun until you have read and agreed the estimate
  • Every line of the plan carries its own price, in writing
  • This fee is set off in full against treatment within 30 days
  • A second opinion costs the same and carries no obligation

Details

A fifteen minute examination of every tooth, the gums, the bite and the soft tissues, ending in a written list of what is sound, what is worth watching and what needs work, with a price against each line. The cheat in a dental check-up is not the check-up fee, it is what follows it: a spoken plan, no written estimate, work begun in the same sitting on a patient who is already reclined and numb, and a bill at the end that nobody agreed to. So nothing is begun on this visit unless you have read the estimate and said yes. The estimate is itemised, priced line by line, and it is yours to take away and price elsewhere. A second opinion on somebody else's plan is welcome here and is charged at the same Rs. 200, because an opinion that costs more when it disagrees is not an opinion. This fee is set off in full against any treatment taken here within 30 days. A diagnosis fee that is not adjusted is a charge for nothing, and stating which of the two ours is matters more than any promise about quality. About the X-ray: an intraoral film is Rs 250 a film, added at the chair, and it is taken only where a decision genuinely turns on it, never as a routine addition to every check-up. Two honest notes on it. The dose from a single digital intraoral film is very small, roughly the same as one ordinary day of natural background radiation, which is worth knowing because the fear of it keeps people from a film that would have settled a question. And the X-ray option CANNOT be delivered at all until radiation registration for the unit is granted through the eLORA system, which has not happened. Vitals Clinic at A.P. Colony is not open. There is no practitioner in post, no premises registration and no appointment book, and this page does not pretend otherwise. What is written here is the specification: the qualification the role requires, the register the person must appear on, and the licence the premises must hold. Booking opens when those exist, and not before.

  • 15 scheduled minutes, all teeth, gums, bite and soft tissue
  • A written itemised plan with a price against every line, yours to take away
  • Nothing begun in the same sitting unless you have read the estimate and agreed to it
  • This fee set off in full against treatment taken here within 30 days
  • X-ray only where a decision turns on it, Rs. 250 a film, and not yet deliverable at all
  • A second opinion on another clinic's plan costs the same Rs. 200 and carries no obligation
  • The role requires BDS with current State Dental Council registration

Product information

What is included, and what is not
Time
15 scheduled minutes. If more is genuinely needed it runs over at no charge
The examination
Every tooth, the gums and pocket depths where indicated, the bite, and the soft tissues of the mouth
The plan
Written, itemised, with a price against each line, separated into needs doing now, worth watching, and sound. Yours to take away and price elsewhere
Advice
Brushing technique, cleaning between the teeth and diet, specific to what was actually found rather than a leaflet
Set off
This fee is deducted in full from any treatment taken here within 30 days. It is not a deposit and it is not forfeited if you decide against treatment
Second opinion
Reviewing a plan quoted by another clinic costs the same Rs. 200 and creates no obligation to have the work done here
X-ray, extra unit
Rs 250 per intraoral film, so an examination with one film comes to Rs 450. Taken only where a decision turns on it. Adds about 10 minutes
X-ray dose
A single digital intraoral film delivers roughly the dose of one ordinary day of natural background radiation. Small, but not zero, which is why it is not routine
NOT included
Any treatment at all. Scaling, fillings, extraction, root canal and crowns are separately listed and separately quoted
Not for
Severe pain or a swollen face with fever. That needs urgent care rather than a booked examination
Referral and commission
No commission on a referral, no target on any panel, and no revenue share with any laboratory, imaging centre or hospital. A test is asked for when the answer would change what you are told to do, and not otherwise
Who provides it, and what registration that requires
The qualification the role requires
BDS from a college recognised by the Dental Council of India, with current registration on a State Dental Council register under the Dentists Act 1948
How that is verified
Against the State Dental Council register entry, not a photocopy and not a framed certificate
Who is in post today
Nobody. No dentist has been appointed and no chair has been installed
X-ray registration
A dental X-ray unit needs radiation registration through the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board eLORA system before it may be used. Not granted, no unit bought, so the X-ray option cannot be delivered yet and this page will not pretend it can
The premises licence
Registration under the Clinical Establishments Act 2010. Not yet granted
When this can be delivered
When a registered practitioner is appointed and the premises registration under the Clinical Establishments Act 2010 is granted. Not before. Nothing on this page describes a service running today
Subcontracting
Not subcontracted. The specification is that the person who attends is on the Shuunnya roll, police verified, with the registration checked against the issuing register rather than a photocopy, and references contacted
If something goes wrong
Work begun without agreement
Anything begun without your agreement to the written estimate is not charged. That is the rule this listing exists to state, and it does not have exceptions
A price that changes
The estimate is the price. If work turns out to need more than the plan described, it stops and you are told and re-quoted, rather than continued and billed afterwards
What is not covered
A pre-existing problem the examination could not see. A visual examination cannot see between every contact or below every filling, which is exactly when a film is worth taking rather than a guess being written down
Complaints
To us first. There is also a statutory route to the State Dental Council on whose register the dentist sits, and we will give you the registration number
