A course for working adults, shopkeepers and parents who use a phone all day and freeze in front of a computer. Files and folders, email, safe passwords, typing, and then spreadsheets in earnest: rows and columns, formulas, sorting, filters, a monthly account sheet and a printable bill format you build yourself and keep. Adult computer courses usually cheat in one of two ways. They are taught in English to people who do not think in English, so half the room nods and learns nothing; or they teach a paid office suite so the learner discovers afterwards that the software costs money every year. This is taught in Hindi with each English term explained once and written down, on free spreadsheet software with nothing to buy, at the pace of the slowest person in a room of six. Rs 2,800 covers twelve sessions, which is about Rs 233 a session.

• No question is treated as too basic. If you already use formulas comfortably, this is the wrong course and we will say so
