The Shuunnya promise

Estimates named as estimates with the range they were validated over, four battery figures derived from two stated average draws, and ordinary straps on ordinary spring bars.

  • Not a medical device, not registered under the Medical Devices Rules 2017
  • SpO2 within 3 points for 89 percent between 90 and 100. Below 90 unvalidated
  • Typical draw 7.6 mW gives 8 days at 41 mm and 10 days 14 h at 45 mm
  • Battery Rs 790 on four screws, but a home change loses the 5 ATM rating

Details

A watch that tells the time, tracks what you ask it to track, and then leaves you alone. No streaks, no rings to close, no stand prompts. Notifications are off until you choose which apps may reach the wrist, and the choice is a plain list rather than a funnel. The cheat in a smart watch is presentational. A blood oxygen percentage on a black screen in a clinical typeface is not a claim in words, and so it never has to be defended, while it does all the work of one. Heart rate is shown to the nearest beat with no error band. And the battery figure comes from a device with the always-on display off, the sensors off and the radios idle, which is not how anyone wears a watch. So the disclaimer is in words, the accuracy figures carry their ranges, and every runtime is derived from a stated average draw.

  • This is NOT a medical device. It is not registered under the Medical Devices Rules 2017, it does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition, and nothing it displays should be used to make a medical decision
  • Blood oxygen is an optical estimate from red and infrared LEDs. Against a fingertip pulse oximeter at rest, within 3 percentage points for 89 percent of readings between 90 and 100 percent SpO2. BELOW 90 percent it was not validated, and the watch says so on screen rather than showing a number it cannot stand behind
  • Heart rate is estimated by optical photoplethysmography from four green and two infrared LEDs. Against a chest strap: within 5 bpm for 95 percent of samples at rest, and within 10 bpm for 86 percent during interval running
  • Steps validated against a manual count over 20 walks of 500 steps at 3 to 6 km per hour: mean error 1.8 percent. Below 2 km per hour the error rises to about 9 percent
  • Battery: 380 mAh at 3.85 V, which is 1.46 Wh on the 41 mm, and 500 mAh at 3.85 V, which is 1.93 Wh on the 45 mm
  • Typical use draws 7.6 mW, with the always-on display on, heart rate every 5 minutes, blood oxygen sampled nightly and notifications on. That is 8 days on the 41 mm and 10 days 14 hours on the 45 mm
  • The marketing configuration draws 4.4 mW, with the always-on display off, heart rate every 30 minutes, blood oxygen off and notifications off. That is 14 days on the 41 mm and 18 days on the 45 mm. Two draws, four runtimes, and you can do the division yourself
  • Recording continuously on dual-band L1 and L5 GNSS the draw is about 66 mW, which is 22 hours on the 41 mm and 29 hours on the 45 mm
  • Case 316L stainless steel, brushed, with sapphire glass. 42 g at 41 mm and 51 g at 45 mm, both without a strap. Screen 1.32 inch AMOLED on the 41 mm and 1.43 inch on the 45 mm, always-on, 1000 nits
  • Straps are standard 20 mm on the 41 mm case and 22 mm on the 45 mm, on ordinary quick-release spring bars, so any strap in the world fits and you are never locked to ours
  • Water resistance 5 ATM to IS/ISO 22810 plus IP6X dust. Swimming yes, diving no, hot water no
  • Battery replaceable at Rs 790 behind four Torx T4 screws with a new gasket in the box. The honest part: a self-changed watch does not carry the 5 ATM rating forward, because that seal is verified on a test rig and cannot be verified on a kitchen table. Fit the gasket and treat it as splash-resistant afterwards. The warranty is not affected either way
  • No streaks, no nudges, no re-engagement prompts. No account to set it up, no subscription for your own data, telemetry off, and everything exports as a plain file
  • The price ladder is Rs 2,000 from 41 mm to 45 mm, for a larger case, a 1.43 inch screen instead of 1.32, and 32 percent more battery
  • There is no Shuunnya service-centre network. A warranty claim means posting the watch to us, with no turnaround time promised

Your data
Stored on the watch and your phone. Exports as a plain file whenever you like. No subscription for your own readings
